If you haven’t already done so, please register to join the U.S. Department of Labor for “Advancing Compliance Solutions for Today’s Workplace, Two Years and Counting,” a summit showcasing the Department’s ongoing efforts to help employers comply with federal labor laws and inform workers about their rights through its modernized tools and employer recognition award programs. The event will take place on Monday, September 14, 2020.

Following a one-hour break, a limited number of participants will be able to participate in the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program’s (OFCCP) virtual breakout session discussing Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA) focused reviews and Ombuds Service. In this session, you will learn how OFCCP:

Ensures that protected veterans are not being discriminated against in employment by evaluating hiring and compensation data and reviewing the handling of accommodation requests through its VEVRAA focused reviews; and
Operates to ensure that all who are involved with the work of OFCCP have access to a neutral and confidential mechanism, one that operates independently and informally through its Ombuds Service.
Find a full schedule of the program here. If you can’t join the live event or breakout session, register now and we’ll let you know when the recorded webcast is available to watch at your convenience. If you have questions, please contact compliance@dol.gov.
